Job summary

ORION is growing its Mobile, Alabama engineering service team. The Structural Engineer will develop and optimize structural systems for oil, gas, chemical, and related facilities, including analysis, sizing, and drawings.

This role collaborates with civil, geotechnical, mechanical, and project management teams to ensure constructible, safe designs. Qualified candidates have ABET-accredited degrees, 10+ years in industrial environments, and US PE licensure; SE is highly preferred for senior

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis, ABET-accredited.
10+ years of progressive structural engineering experience in industrial facilities.
Active US PE license; SE license preferred for senior/lead levels.
Experience with brownfield/existing-facility work and field walkdowns.

Responsibilities

Develop and update structural design deliverables (calculations, reports, drawings).
Perform structural analysis for buildings, platforms, foundations, pipe racks, and supports.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to align with project objectives.
Provide field engineering support during erection and construction.
