Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional to join our design team in a hybrid/remote capacity, supporting medium to large projects in the US Southeast region. You will perform analysis and design, collaborate with lead engineers and designers, and help deliver performance-oriented structures across diverse facilities.

Requirements include a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, a PE license, and at least 10 years of structural experience with IBC/ASCE 7/ACI/AISC knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of Structural engineering experience.
• Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to lead small teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform conventional aspects of structural analysis and design with minimal supervision.
• Plan and execute engineering work, selecting appropriate techniques and criteria.
• Apply wind and seismic provisions and ensure code compliance.
• Check own work and perform peer and senior reviews for accuracy.
• Manage workload, meet schedule, and take ownership of the structural scope.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers/drafters and junior engineers.
