Job summary

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Sr. Structural Engineer in one of the posting locations below. You will deliver customer-oriented design and construction services to clients nationwide and in the Western Region, with strong growth potential.

Requirements include a Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering degree (Bachelor’s required, Master’s preferred) and 8–15 years of structural experience. Proficiency with steel, concrete, masonry or wood is expected, along with excellent communication and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s (required) or Master’s degree (preferred) in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, with emphasis in structures
• 8-15 years of structural engineering experience
• Experience with design and construction administration of building structures, preferably both new construction and renovation of existing structures
• Experience designing with common construction materials: steel, concrete, masonry or wood
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary environment that can manage and contribute to several projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for building structures and related systems
• Perform structural analysis and design for Energy and Industrial structures and related systems
• Develop construction documents and provide construction administration services
• Perform site visits, client meetings, and coordination with the project team
