Job summary

RIMEPRO INC. in Norfolk, VA, is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead complex building projects across the Southeast. You will guide design, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with architects to deliver safe, buildable structures on a hybrid schedule.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in building design consulting, PE licensure, and strong leadership skills, with experience across steel, concrete, wood, and masonry systems. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
• Master's in Structural Engineering preferred; PE licensure required.
• Experience leading structural design projects and client interactions.
• Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and manage design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for structural systems and prepare calculations.
• Perform site assessments and detailed analyses.
• Gather client requirements and communicate technical information clearly.
• Conduct in‑process design reviews of components and specifications.
• Implement QA/QC processes to meet standards.
• Provide training and mentorship to staff; resolve field issues.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for integrated solutions.
• Stay current on industry trends and contribute to innovation.
