Job summary

Harley Ellis Devereaux Corporation seeks an experienced Structural Engineer in San Diego, CA. The role leads structural design on complex projects, coordinating with architects, MEP, and civil teams to deliver code-compliant, efficient solutions.

The candidate should hold a CA-licensed PE and have 4–8 years of structural engineering experience, with familiarity in RAM, RISA, ETABS, Enercalc and Revit. Hybrid work options are available with successful project delivery a focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering or similar from ABET/EAC-accredited institution.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in California.
• 4–8 years of structural engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and documentation for building projects of moderate to large complexity.
• Perform structural analysis and design using RAM, RISA, ETABS, Enercalc.
• Develop drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports.
• Mentor junior staff and support QA/QC efforts.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP, and civil consultants for integrated design.
• Perform construction administration duties including site visits and RFI responses.
