Job summary

Harley Ellis Devereaux (HED) is seeking a senior Structural Engineer for mission-critical projects in San Francisco. You bring 8+ years of experience and PE license, with SE preferred, to lead design from concept through construction and mentor project teams.

You will apply RAM, RISA, ETABS, and Enercalc, collaborate with architects and MEPs, review calculations and construction documents, and contribute to quality and sustainable design across complex buildings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Engineer; Structural Engineer license preferred.
• 8+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Proficiency with RAM, RISA, ETABS, Enercalc.
• Revit core proficiency; familiarity with Bluebeam and Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage structural design for large, complex buildings from concept through construction.
• Apply advanced engineering judgment and tools to deliver efficient, resilient structures.
• Direct preparation and QA of calculations, specs, docs.
• Coordinate with architects, MEPs, civil consultants, and stakeholders.
• Lead internal/external project meetings and client presentations.
• Provide expert-level support during construction administration.
