Job summary

Jobot is seeking a structural engineer to provide design for buildings and industrial structures in Boise, Idaho. You will lead design efforts, coordinate with teams, and ensure technical quality across reports, specifications, and project deliverables.

Responsibilities include applying building codes, directing junior staff, preparing project documents, and interfacing with clients. The role emphasizes QA/QC, site involvement, and timely delivery within budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Provide structural design for buildings and industrial structures.
• Undertake QA/QC for plans and technical documents.
• Interface effectively with clients and construction teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide structural design for buildings and industrial structures.
• Compile, write, and edit quality technical reports, feasibility reports, letters, memos, and specifications on structural projects.
• Independently apply extensive knowledge of building codes (AISC, ACI, ASCE, IBC) to assignments.
• Direct junior engineers, designers, and CAD technicians to execute and deliver project work.
• Prepare or review specifications, scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
• Prepare or review complete project documents.
• Formulate and solve engineering problems.
• Provide QA/QC for plans.
• Work in a team environment to deliver structural engineering projects.
• Adhere to phase/task schedules and budgets for timely completion.
• Assist with proposals development.
• Attend project meetings and present engineering work.
