Job summary

Jacobs in Boise, ID is seeking a passionate Structural Engineer to join the Cities and Places team. You will perform structural analysis and design for a wide range of projects locally, nationally, and around the world, with a focus on manufacturing, education, healthcare, and data centers.

You will lead structural design efforts and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, senior project managers, and clients to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis.
• Professional Engineering Registration (P.E.) or ability to obtain.
• Range of 5-10 years relevant professional experience for infrastructure and building-related design projects.
• Ability to perform as a lead structural engineer.
• Experience working in a multi-discipline team with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Construction support services experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience with US building codes include IBC, ASCE 7, AISC.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for a wide range of projects locally, nationally, and around the world.
• Lead structural design efforts including design for manufacturing, education and healthcare facilities, data centers, planning studies, and more.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, Senior Project Managers, and clients to deliver projects.
