Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a mid-level Senior Structural Engineer to perform detailed structural analyses for programs from development to production. The role requires delivering analysis outputs, documenting results, and coordinating peer reviews while ensuring cost and schedule alignment.

The position is onsite in Tucson with opportunities to lead technical discussions and develop MA&T processes, requiring a bachelor’s in STEM and 5+ years of experience, plus the ability to obtain security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant experience; advanced degree substitutes years
• Experience in structural analysis using PATRAN, NASTRAN, ANSYS, ABAQUS or equivalent software
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed structural analyses to support all phases of programs
• Generate test plans to validate analyses and verify hardware compliance
• Analyze test data to validate models and generate mechanical loads/environments
• Lead technical peer reviews and present results to stakeholders
• Travel to test sites to support discussions
• Produce detailed archival technical reports
• Act as technical leader to develop MA&T processes and tools
