Job summary

Exyte US, Inc. seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to develop and supervise structural designs for buildings and load-bearing structures. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to produce drawings, calculations, and construction documents.

The role emphasizes mentoring interns and junior staff, review of submittals, and integration of design standards on site and in office. A PE/SE license is preferred, with 6+ years in the field.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s in Engineering required.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Professional Engineering (PE) License or Structural Engineering (SE) License preferred.
• NCEES Record preferred.
• 6+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with other disciplines and contractors to support the development of design deliverables such as drawings and specifications.
• Reviews shop drawings and submittals to understand how design and construction are inter-related.
• Attends construction and design verification walks and submit report of observations.
• Prepares structural engineering calculations and finite element modelling under the supervision of a Senior Engineer.
• Works closely with design and technical teams in leading the development of design deliverables such as reports and Construction Documents, including drawings and specifications.
• Analyses and designs the basic structural components of a building or other structure.
• Coordinates structural models and drawings with the other design disciplines.
• Mentors Interns and junior members of project teams.
• Participates in the development of office standards and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
