Job summary

Exyte US, Inc. is seeking a Structural Designer to work under Engineers and Lead Designers to develop structural engineering solutions for buildings and other load-bearing structures.

The role involves collaboration with multiple disciplines, using Autodesk Building Systems Software, and reviewing shop drawings to ensure design integrity. You will participate in walks and assist in managing project scope and documentation.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Associate’s degree is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in related roles.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with other disciplines and contractors to support the development of design deliverables such as drawings and specifications.
• Works in Autodesk Building Systems Software environment to develop drafting and detailing skills.
• Reviews shop drawings and submittals to understand how design and construction are inter-related.
• Attends construction and design verification walks and submit report of observations.
• Works with the Structural project discipline lead and Senior Engineers to understand the scope of work, schedule, budget, project instructions and responsibilities.
• Starts and maintains a discipline file of working drawings for the project.
• Other duties as assigned.
