Job summary

AME Design Group in Downers Grove, IL seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead full structural scope and the development of designs for design/build projects across industrial, self-storage, and entertainment facilities.

You will guide teams, develop automated design methods, interface with clients and vendors, and contribute to budgeting and scheduling while upholding our standards of quality and integrity.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil, Architectural, or Structural Engineering is required or strongly preferred.
• PE and/or SE licensure is preferred; employer will support pursuit of licensure.
• Experience with design/build, multi-disciplinary coordination, and staff supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify structural systems, including load calculations and lateral/ gravity analysis.
• Lead projects with engineering and modeling staff to deliver design packages.
• Develop automated design methods and tools as part of an innovation-focused team.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and vendors on technical issues as a structural expert.
• Participate in budgeting, scheduling, and staff management.
