Job summary

Tesla Laboratories, a SDVOSB, seeks a Structural Engineer to support NAVFAC NW Design Division (PDC4). Responsibilities include structural analysis and design of buildings, coordination with NAVFAC and stakeholders, and preparing technical dashboards and briefings.

Requires a Civil Engineering degree with a structural focus and 6+ years of design experience. Experience with DoD/ NAVFAC criteria and a PE license is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus (4-year degree minimum).
• Minimum of 6 years of design management and/or design experience performing the described tasks.
• PE license in structural discipline is highly desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of building vertical and lateral systems, retaining structures, utility structures, and waterfront structures per UFC/IBC/ASCE 7.
• Design structural elements using concrete, steel, and masonry.
• Coordinate with team members to execute scope, schedules, and budget in conformance with requirements.
• Create project dashboards using Power BI, Project, Excel, etc.
• Provide technical reviews to minimize delays and offer written recommendations and minutes.
• Review reports, RFIs, designs, submittals, and cost proposals for compliance.
