The role involves coordinating with disciplines, reviewing work, and guiding engineers. Requires PE license and hands-on steel, concrete, and foundation expertise.

Hybrid work from Chicago, IL, with complex project focus. Base pay aligns with market range, and visa sponsorship is not available. Applicants must have work authorization in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• Active PE license is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of structural engineering experience.
• Project experience includes data centers, industrial facilities, or similar complex projects.
• Experience with structural analysis programs, design tools, and BIM coordination workflows.
• Strong knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and AISC standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design efforts for data center, industrial, and advanced manufacturing projects.
• Perform structural analysis and design for steel, reinforced concrete, and foundation systems.
• Collaborate with architectural, civil, MEP, process, and vendor teams to resolve design issues.
• Review and help prepare structural calculations, specifications, drawings, and construction documents.
• Support QA/QC reviews and assist during construction with submittals, RFIs, and field questions.
