Job summary

Woolpert, a global leader in architecture, engineering, and geospatial services, seeks a Senior Structural Engineer for our Chicago, IL location. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum of 10 years of structural engineering experience.
• Project experience should include data centers, industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, or similar technically complex projects.
• Experience using structural analysis programs, design tools, and BIM coordination workflows.
• Strong working knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and AISC standards.

Position Overview Woolpert is hiring for a Senior Structural Engineer with more than 10 years of experience to support the design and delivery of complex building projects, with a focus on data centers, industrial facilities, and advanced manufacturing work. This person should be comfortable leading structural design, coordinating with other disciplines, reviewing technical work, and helping guide less experienced engineers. The role requires hands-on experience with steel, reinforced concrete, foundations, equipment supports, and facilities with significant utility and coordination requirements. Hybrid work environment working from our Chicago, IL location.

What You Will Do

• Experience with hyperscale data centers, seismic design, or design-build projects is helpful.
• Mass timber design experience is a plus.

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Pay Range

$139,200 - $174,000 USD
