Jacobs is hiring a senior structural engineer to lead data center structural design across a portfolio of projects. You will mentor teams, coordinate with clients and management, and shape design strategies while ensuring high performance and constructability.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years in structural engineering, PE licensure, and strong CAD/analysis tool proficiency. Expect regional travel and a hybrid, collaborative work environment supporting global delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 15+ years of professional structural engineering experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer with multi-state eligibility.
• Experience with major building materials and ability to engage executives.
• Proficiency with CAD tools: AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, S3D.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software: RISA, Ram SS, STAAD.
• Knowledge of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, Building Codes.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel 10–40%.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering efforts across data center projects.
• Mentor structural leads and coordinate with clients and management.
• Oversee complex analyses and modeling, and guide design decisions.
• Ensure code-compliant, constructible design solutions for projects.
• Provide technical governance for schedules and documentation.
• Guide the Design-Build delivery methodology and project execution.
