Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer within the Advanced Manufacturing team to work on Data Centers, including new builds, retrofits, and colocations. You will perform structural engineering tasks and broaden your design tools and methods.

You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, liaise with internal professionals, and coordinate with Jacobs offices worldwide. The role offers growth opportunities and a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• 8+ years of professional structural engineering experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer with ability to become registered in additional states.
• Proficient in CAD software: AutoCad, Revit, MicroStation and S3D.
• Proficient with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
• Knowledge of Building Codes and design standards (ACI, AISC, ASCE 7).
• Proficient with MS Office and Teams for remote coordination.
• Willingness to travel 10–20%.
• Master of Science in Engineering is a plus.
• Experience with industrial metals projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of analytical structural tasks.
• Create computer models for structures.
• Perform member/foundation design calculations and takeoffs.
• Coordinate designs across Jacobs offices domestically and internationally.
