Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for the Advanced Manufacturing team, with responsibility for diverse data center-related projects. This role involves performing structural analyses, creating models, and coordinating with internal teams across offices while supporting project delivery and schedules.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, strong CAD/analysis software skills, and the ability to travel up to 20% to client sites; a Master’s degree is a plus and hyperscale data center

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 8 or more years of professional experience in structural engineering
• Registered Professional Engineer with ability to become registered in additional states
• Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCad, Revit, MicroStation and S3D
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD
• Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other industry relevant design code and standards
• Knowledge and application of Building Codes
• Proficiency with MS Office suite including MS Teams for remote coordination
• Ability for travel to various client’s sites ~10–20%

Responsibilities

• Performing a variety of analysis
• Creating computer models for structures
• Performing calculations for member designs and foundations, material take-offs for estimating, preparation of miscellaneous calculations, assisting with schedules, etc.
