Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer to lead design and analysis for hyperscale data center facilities. The role focuses on concrete and steel structures, with a path to senior leadership on a global team.

The position offers primarily remote work with occasional travel for meetings and site visits. Candidates should have a PE/SE license, 5+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency in BIM, ETABS, RAM, SAP2000, and Safe. LEED/2050 familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering; PE/SE preferred.
• Licensed U.S. Professional Engineer (PE/SE) required or demonstrated equivalency.
• 5+ years in building structures design and analysis; data center experience preferred.
• Experience with data center, mission critical, or large scale facilities.
• Proficiency with BIM ACC (Revit), ETABS, RISA, RAM, SAP2000, Safe; seismic and foundation design experience.
• Demonstrated ability to use low embodied carbon materials and sustainable design approaches.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis for multiple data center buildings (hyperscale and colocation).
• Develop design documentation for concrete, precast, steel framing, and foundations.
• Coordinate with architectural, civil, MEP, and construction teams.
• Prepare construction documents, specs, and calculations for quality and code compliance.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Engage with clients, contractors, and authorities for technical queries.
• Support business development and proposal writing for new pursuits.
• Travel as needed for project-related activities.
