Role Overview

To succeed in this role, you must have structural engineering experience in dams and appurtenant hydraulic structures, waterfront structures, or heavy civil structures.

Responsibilities include:

• Design and review of dams, hydraulic structures, waterfront structures, and heavy civil projects.
• Performing inspections and field activities at various project sites.
• Developing reports, analysis, and design concepts.
• Preparing detailed calculations, plans, specifications, and conducting QA/QC reviews.
• Engaging with technical societies to stay current with standards and technologies.

Qualifications:

• BS in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer.
• 10+ years of experience in structural design, including concrete, steel, and heavy civil structures.
• Knowledge of national engineering codes and standards.
• Experience with STAAD PRO, GT STRUDL, MathCAD, Enercalc, or similar software.

Preferred experience:

• QA/QC reviews, cost proposals, design of hydraulic and civil structures.
• Familiarity with dam safety guidelines.

Personal qualities:

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality designs on time and budget.
