STRUCTURAL ENGINEER – DAMS & WATERFRONT

Your Role in the Dams Group

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on structural design, investigations, analysis, and construction support related to Dam Safety, waterfront improvements, redevelopment, and other heavy civil projects. Responsibilities include writing inspection reports, performing stress and stability analyses, developing design concepts, and preparing detailed structural plans and specifications.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and analyze dams, hydraulic structures, waterfront structures, and foundations; design support for various civil and industrial structures.
  • Conduct structural inspections and field activities at project sites.
  • Compile data, develop reports, and present analysis summaries.
  • Assist in developing design concepts, analysis approaches, and constructability reviews.
  • Prepare detailed calculations, technical reports, construction plans, and specifications; participate in QA/QC and value engineering.
  • Engage with professional societies to stay current with standards and emerging technologies.

Your Growth Path

We support your professional development from day one. To qualify, you should have:

  • BSc in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer or on track for licensure
  • 5+ years of experience in structural design, including reinforced concrete, steel structures, and civil works
  • Knowledge of national and industry standards
  • Proficiency in Excel, CAD, and analysis software

Additional Desired Experience:

  • Design of gravity dams, retaining walls, hydraulic structures
  • Experience with post-tensioned systems, heavy civil, and waterfront structures
  • Familiarity with relevant safety guidelines and software tools like STAAD PRO, GT STRUDL, Mathcad, Enercalc, VBA, Matlab
