Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer (Buildings) in Cincinnati, OH to lead structural design efforts for complex building projects.

You will coordinate a design team through schematic design to contract documents, and work closely with architecture, MEP, and civil engineers to ensure robust, code-compliant structures. The role emphasizes technical leadership, problem solving, and collaboration across disciplines, with opportunities to mentor interns and contribute to project development

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (PE).
Previous structural engineer experience; familiarity with design of Health Care and Higher Education projects is encouraged.

Responsibilities

Serve as a technical expert with authority in structural engineering for projects; resolve problems of greater scope and complexity.
Coordinate the structural design team's work from schematic design through design development and contract documents.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to lead structural deliverables and analyze superstructure components.
Mentor structural interns and EITs; review structural documents for conflicts with other disciplines and resolve them.
