HDR, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer (Buildings) in Cincinnati, OH to lead structural design efforts for complex building projects.

You will coordinate a design team through schematic design to contract documents, and work closely with architecture, MEP, and civil engineers to ensure robust, code-compliant structures. The role emphasizes technical leadership, problem solving, and collaboration across disciplines, with opportunities to mentor interns and contribute to project development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (PE).
• Previous structural engineer experience; familiarity with design of Health Care and Higher Education projects is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical expert with authority in structural engineering for projects; resolve problems of greater scope and complexity.
• Coordinate the structural design team's work from schematic design through design development and contract documents.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to lead structural deliverables and analyze superstructure components.
• Mentor structural interns and EITs; review structural documents for conflicts with other disciplines and resolve them.
