Job summary

CDG Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Structural Engineer in North Carolina to lead and contribute to a wide range of projects including industrial and bridges. You will prepare design drawings, specifications and reports, with strong client collaboration.

The ideal candidate holds a structural engineering degree with 7+ years of experience and proficiency in design codes (IBC, ASCE-7, AASHTO) and software such as RISA, STAAD, LEAP Bridge, plus CAD and Excel-based cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering
• 7+ years of relevant experience
• Knowledge in design of concrete and steel elements per code requirements
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to simplify technical issues

Responsibilities

• Preparation of design drawings, specifications, and reports, as well as generating studies and cost estimates.
• Knowledge of designing structures using IBC, ASCE-7, AASHTO and material design codes (AISC, ACI concrete, ACI masonry).
• Experience using design software (RISA, STAAD, LEAP Bridge), CAD and spreadsheets.
