Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, is seeking a senior Structural Analysis Engineer in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, to perform complex structural analyses using 2D/3D FEM, hand calculations, and engineering judgement. You will oversee junior engineers and outsourced tasks across design phases, supporting manufacturing and field issues.

The role requires at least a bachelor's in aerospace/mechanical/civil engineering, 8+ years of experience (or 5 with an advanced degree) and 4 years in structural analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical or civil engineering.
• 8 years of engineering experience or advanced degree with 5 years of experience.
• 4 years of experience with structural analysis.
• U.S. citizenship is required to access information.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex structural analysis via hand calculations and FEA.
• Provide oversight and technical guidance for engineers and outsourced tasks.
• Perform structural analysis through all design phases and support production.
• Use FEM and classical methods for strength, stress, vibration, fatigue, fracture mechanics.
