Job summary

RTX is seeking a Structures Engineer for the MSEN module (Pratt & Whitney) in a hybrid environment in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. The role focuses on performing structural analysis for Externals and Mechanical Systems, leading cross‑functional teams, and supporting validation and in‑service investigations.

Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical/Aerospace/Civil engineering degree with 5 years of experience (or an advanced degree with 3 years) and must be a U.S. citizen to access program information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering required.
• 5 years engineering experience or an advanced degree with 3 years experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required for program access.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis for Externals and Mechanical Systems hardware across design stages.
• Serve as structural lead on multidisciplinary teams to balance durability, performance, cost, and weight.
• Support validation tests, monitoring instrumentation and data evaluation against requirements.
• Assist with in-service field investigations.
• Conduct Finite Element Analysis using ANSYS, Workbench, and Teamcenter.
• Document analysis results and present to management and customers.
• Role supports hybrid onsite/remote workdays and up to 10% travel.
