Position: Structural Engineer

DLR Group is an integrated design firm dedicated to elevating the human experience through innovative design. We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join our team, responsible for designing structural systems from schematic design through construction administration across various building types. Locations:

• Denver, CO
• Phoenix, AZ

Position Summary:

The successful candidate will design structural building systems, prepare detailed drawings and calculations, and collaborate with architectural and engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include:

• Developing structural designs from concept to completion
• Preparing engineering calculations and system layouts
• Producing construction documents using Revit
• Reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals
• Conducting site visits as needed
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams within our integrated design approach

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural or Architectural/Structural Engineering
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• 10+ years of experience in structural engineering for buildings, including concrete, masonry, steel, and wood systems
• Proficiency with structural software (ETABS, SAP, SAFE, RAM, ADAPT, RISA, Enercalc)
• Strong problem-solving, creativity, and attention to detail skills
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Civil/Structural or Architectural/Structural Engineering
• Licensed Professional Structural Engineer (SE) or pursuing licensure
• Interest in sustainable building design
• Experience with BIM and Autodesk Revit workflows

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary range: $105,000 - $135,000 USD, based on experience and location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, wellness programs, paid holidays, PTO, 401(k), employee stock ownership, and bonus opportunities.
