Job summary

Middough Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural Designer to create and establish simple designs aligned with codes and client requirements.

This role involves applying standard drafting techniques to generate and interpret drawings and guiding drafters to ensure adherence to design standards. You will collaborate with engineers to develop design drawings for steel supports, platforms, and concrete foundations using 3D CAD and Revit.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent required.
• 8-15 years of relevant design work experience.
• Proficient in 3-D CAD and Revit design of structural steel and foundation design.
• Experience with masonry, concrete, steel, fiberglass, and wood structures is beneficial.
• Working knowledge of Codes and Standards and reference documents.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask with organizational abilities for project efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to develop design drawings for steel supports, platforms, and concrete foundations using primarily 3D CAD and CAD software.
• Complete design work on fast paced, smaller projects for industrial and chemical plant clients.
• Lead select single-discipline projects by estimating hours, developing scope, staffing, and maintaining quality processes.
• Interact with company departments/colleagues and suppliers to obtain pertinent design information.
• Manage and maintain Project Documentation (flat files, reference files, CAD drawings).
