Job summary

Middough Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural Designer to lead design efforts for steel supports, platforms, and foundations using 3D CAD and Revit.

This role requires guiding drafters, ensuring conformance to codes and client standards, and coordinating with engineers on project deliverables. Ideal candidates have extensive experience (8–15 years) in structural design, working knowledge of industry codes, and strong communication skills to collaborate across departments and with clients.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical discipline is required.
• 8–15 years of relevant design experience.
• Proficient in 3-D CAD and Revit for structural design.
• Design experience with masonry, concrete, steel, fiberglass and wood is a plus.
• Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to develop design drawings for steel supports, platforms, and foundations using 3D CAD and CAD software.
• Lead select single-discipline projects, estimate hours, scope, staffing, and ensure quality processes.
• Interact with departments, colleagues, and suppliers to gather project information.
• Manage and maintain project documentation and CAD drawings.
