Job summary

Middough Inc. seeks a Structural Department Manager to lead a team of engineers in delivering complex structural designs for heavy industrial facilities. You will direct project execution, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with codes and company processes.

The role requires licensed structural credentials, advanced software proficiency, and strong leadership across multi-project environments. Candidates should have 10+ years in structural engineering, a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering,

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• 10+ years of structural/foundation design experience in heavy industry.
• Working knowledge of Navisworks required.
• Licensed Structural Engineer and able to register in other states.
• Proficiency in RAM, STAAD, TEDDS or equivalent software.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage a team to complete work on time and within budget.
• Provide technical and managerial leadership across projects.
• Plan, develop, and direct team members to successful project completion.
• Collaborate with senior management on staffing and project planning.
• Coach staff and implement best practices for quality and efficiency.
• Approve technical deliverables and conduct quality reviews.
• Support business development and client proposals when needed.
• Ensure adherence to codes, standards, and company processes.
