Job summary

Middough Inc. in Cleveland, OH is seeking an entry-level Structural Engineer to create simple designs in accordance with codes and client requirements. You will generate drawings, support project teams, and guide drafters to ensure adherence to company and client standards.

The role emphasizes proficiency in 3-D CAD and Revit, with collaboration across departments, a focus on quality processes, and growth opportunities within a reputable engineering firm serving Fortune 500 clients.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
0-7 years of experience.
Proficient in standard drafting/design techniques.
Proficient in 3-D CAD and Revit design.
Knowledge of Codes and Standards.
Knowledge of reference documents and guides.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail abilities.
Ability to multitask and organize for project efficiency.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Generate design and detail drawings including plans/sections and isometrics to support Discipline Leads.
Manage and maintain the Project Documentation (e.g., flat files, reference/stick files, CAD drawings).
Handle single-discipline projects by estimating work hours, developing scope of work, making staffing recommendations, and maintaining quality processes.
Interact with other departments and suppliers to obtain pertinent information.
