Qualifications

• Completion of a vocational training program in Computer Aided Design.
• 15+ years of structural design experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with other design group team members to review and exchange project information for design and development.
• Check design for consistency, safety, operability and maintenance requirements before submitting to checking.
• Report task progress to Lead Designer.
• Gathers required information and collaborates with engineers to develop BIM models for foundations and steel structures.
• Leverage BIM to create plans, drawings, and details.
• Assist in development of department standards and tools.
• Mentor other team members in design and modeling techniques.
• Resolve design issues with input from the responsible engineer.
