Job summary

Kiewit Power Engineering Group is seeking several mid to senior level Structural Designers to join our growing team. In this role, the Structural Designers should have a good understanding of design modeling, design drawing/document creation, and data exchange using Building Information Modeling (BIM).

Candidates are expected to have experience in foundation and steel design. The ideal candidates will grow with the team by helping to establish, maintain, and improve standards and tools while

Qualifications

Completion of a vocational training program in Computer Aided Design.
15+ years of structural design experience using Tekla.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with design group members to review and exchange project information for design and development.
Check design for consistency, safety, operability and maintenance requirements before submitting for checking.
Gathers required information and collaborates with engineers to develop BIM models for foundations and steel structures.
Leverages Building Information Modeling (BIM) to create plans, drawings, and details.
Mentor other team members in design and modeling techniques.
Resolve design issues with input from responsible engineer.
