Job summary

HNTB's Deputy Structural Design Manager oversees the delivery of large-scale design-build infrastructure projects and coordinates structural engineering across multiple firms and office locations to ensure design standards and quality. The role reviews critical design decisions and manages technical interfaces with a focus on successful project delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience.
2 years task management or Deputy PM experience.
Master’s degree in Engineering preferred and PE certification.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of project scope and fee quotations and assist in technical proposals.
Serve as primary client liaison and manage project teams to deliver scope, schedule and budgets.
Perform technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production.
Lead project delivery plans and mentor staff to achieve objectives.
Coordinate staffing and support performance and compensation reviews.
Support business development and pursuit activities for key projects.
