Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced engineer to own design, analysis, development, and testing of primary and secondary structures for New Glenn's second stage. You will create 3D models, drawings, and interface control documents, while collaborating with manufacturing to ensure hardware integration.

The role requires a B.S. in engineering and 5+ years in aerospace or launch vehicles, with proficiency in 3D CAD, GD&T, and FEM tools. A strong teamwork culture and safety focus are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with automotive, aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle structures.
• Strong mechanical design and integration skills using 3D CAD software.
• Familiar with GD&T analysis (ASME Y14.5).

Responsibilities

• Design, analysis, development, and testing of primary and secondary structures.
• Create 3D models, detail part drawings, assemblies, and interface control documents.
• Provide manufacturing and production support for hardware.
• Provide technical guidance for integration.
• Support configuration development and trade studies.
• Create test plans, specifications, and documentation for flight hardware development.
• Plan, coordinate, conduct tests, and review test data.
• Maintain activity schedule, budget and technical status.
