Job summary

Blue Origin in the United States seeks a structural engineer to join the New Glenn team. You will design, analyze, develop and test primary and secondary structures for the second stage, taking designs from concept through launch and coordinating with manufacturing to ensure safe, repeatable spaceflight. Required qualifications include a B.S.

in engineering and 5+ years in aerospace structures; proficiency with 3D CAD, GD&T (ASME Y14.5); and U.S. citizenship or eligible status.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with aerospace structures.
• Experience with design of metallic components and assemblies.
• Strong mechanical design and integration skills using 3D CAD.
• Familiar with GD&T analysis (ASME Y14.5).
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, develop and test primary and secondary structures for the New Glenn second stage.
• Take designs from concept through launch and coordinate with manufacturing for safe, repeatable spaceflight.
• Create and review detail drawings, assemblies, and interface control documents.
• Provide manufacturing support and ensure successful hardware integration.
• Plan and conduct tests, analyze data, and report on status.
