Kennedy Jenks seeks a licensed Civil Engineer with a structural focus to lead design and consulting for water and wastewater infrastructure across the United States from its Federal Way, WA base.

You will drive concrete, steel, and other material solutions, produce calculations and drawings, and support projects through planning to construction, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and using BIM tools to ensure safety and long-term performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering focus (ABET accredited).
• 8+ years of consulting engineering experience focused on structural design.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required in Washington; Licensed Structural Engineer (SE) preferred in Washington.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D/BIM modeling; experience with Revit, RISA 3D, Enercalc, RAM Elements, RAM Structural Systems, or STAAD.

Responsabilités

• Develop concrete, steel, wood, masonry, and composite solutions for infrastructure projects of varying size and complexity.
• Produce structural calculations, drawings, and specifications that support clear, coordinated project delivery.
• Design and evaluate treatment plant buildings, tanks, clarifiers, pump stations, piping support systems, and existing structures for high seismic regions.
• Provide engineering input during construction, including field structural observation and coordination with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Partner with civil, mechanical, electrical, process, and construction professionals to solve technical challenges for municipal agencies and industrial facilities.
• Apply BIM and analysis tools to support coordination, client input, and project visualization from planning through construction.
