Job summary

Kennedy Jenks Consultants is seeking a licensed Civil Engineer with a structural focus for our Northern California offices. The role involves leading structural design, analysis, and construction administration on water and wastewater projects across the U.S., including pump stations and treatment facilities.

Qualified candidates hold a CA PE (SE preferred), 10+ years of consulting experience in structural design, and proficiency with AutoCAD and 3D/BIM tools.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree with structural focus.
• 10+ years as a consulting engineer focused on structural design (15 years preferred).
• Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE) in California.
• Licensed Professional Structural Engineer (SE) preferred in California.
• Experience from conception to completion including collaboration, design, analysis, and construction.
• Deep understanding of structural design principles, codes, and standards.
• Experience with AutoCAD and 3D/BIM modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering projects for concrete, steel, wood, masonry, and composite construction.
• Design and analyze structures for water/wastewater facilities in seismic regions.
• Lead on-site structural observation during construction.
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams to support projects nationwide.
• Use BIM tools to deliver projects and provide client input from planning to construction.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with Structural Engineering focus (ABET accredited)
