Job summary

Kennedy Jenks is seeking a licensed Civil Engineer with a structural focus to lead design and consulting for water and wastewater infrastructure across the United States.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, develop structural designs, perform analyses, and support construction with BIM and digital delivery tools. CA-licensed PE required; SE preferred, with a hybrid work model in Northern California.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering focus (ABET accredited).
• 8+ years of consulting engineering experience focused on structural design.
• Strong understanding of structural design principles, codes, and standards for buildings, tanks, and related infrastructure.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in California; Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D/BIM modeling; experience with Revit, RISA 3D, Enercalc, RAM Elements, RAM Structural Systems, or STAAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of concrete, steel, wood, masonry, and composite infrastructure solutions.
• Prepare design deliverables: calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Analyze systems including treatment plant buildings, tanks, clarifiers, pump stations, and piping supports.
• Support construction-phase services with field observations and coordination.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, process, and construction teams.
• Use BIM and analysis tools to support coordination and project visualization.
