Job summary

Consor in Draper, Utah, seeks a motivated Structural / Bridge Engineer to join our growing group. You will design and check bridges and other structures, mentor junior staff, and interact with clients and agencies to deliver projects.

The role offers hybrid work between office and field, with a focus on collaboration and professional growth. A SE or PE license (or eligibility) and 4+ years of bridge experience are desired.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in civil/structural engineering with a focus on bridge design.
• Professional Structural Engineer (SE) license or PE eligibility, or the ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
• Demonstrated experience with bridge design principles, methodologies, and current AASHTO LRFD standards.
• Strong knowledge of concrete and steel design.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support structural and bridge design tasks as part of an integrated engineering team.
• Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior staff, including EITs.
• Perform structural/bridge analysis, engineering calculations, load-rating evaluations, and design checks.
• Develop and review structural/bridge plans, specifications, estimates, and supporting documents.
• Conduct conceptual engineering studies and provide recommendations.
• Support and lead preliminary engineering and final design efforts.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports and design summaries.
• Coordinate with internal project managers, coworkers, local governments, and UDOT.
• Participate in client meetings, project presentations, and proposal efforts as needed.
