Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis.
• P.E. license.
• 10+ years of bridge/culvert design experience.
• DOT bridge design experience and knowledge of guidelines (ODOT/NCDOT preferred).
• Thorough knowledge of AASHTO LRFD and Bridge Evaluation Manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design tasks for bridge projects from preliminary to final design.
• Develop specifications, cost estimates, and final bid packages.
• Coordinate with client technical staff and project managers, especially DOTs and local governments.
• Provide design services for traditional and design-build bridge projects.
• Mentor and assist junior engineers in developing final design plans.
• Coordinate design activities and meetings with design staff and subcontractors.
