Job summary

Boeing Future of Flight is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer – Interior Stress in North Charleston, SC. This on-site, 1-year contract role focuses on leading stress analyses, certifications and verification for interior structures of Boeing aircraft.

The candidate will develop analytical processes, coordinate with multiple engineering groups, and guide designs to meet CFR Part 25 requirements, supporting in-service investigations and supplier oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (mechanical, civil, aerospace, aeronautical or material sciences).
• 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience performing stress analysis on interiors or related structures.
• 3+ years of experience working with Buyer-Furnished and Supplier-Furnished Equipment.
• Prior experience with aircraft, heavy structures, hardware systems or interiors manufacturing/production systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs lead level stress analysis responsibilities on Boeing 787 Aircraft Interiors products using classical hand analysis methods, Finite Element tools, and dynamic simulation tools.
• Reviews and provides lead signature for supplier documents including drawings, analysis, test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Leads development and documentation of interior structural requirements and interfaces.
• Coordinates with engineering groups to define environment, load cases and loads.
• Guides product design and verifies structural integrity over the lifecycle.
• Leads test plan development, supports execution and analyzes results to verify compliance.
• Develops certification/test documentation for CFR Part 25 requirements.
