Job summary

Boeing in North Charleston, SC is seeking a Mid-Level Structural Analysis Engineer on the Stress Liaison team to contribute to the 787 Airframe program and to help ensure structural integrity across the lifecycle.

You will develop requirements, perform FEA, coordinate with production and engineering, design test configurations, and document certifications for customers and regulators; relocation available and 1st shift.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Materials)
5+ years of structural analysis experience
3+ years in metallic structures and composite materials analysis
Experience with production/manufacturing systems

Responsibilities

Develops, integrates and documents structural requirements to establish the structural repair strategy.
Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment.
Guides product design and verifies structural integrity using analytical methods and FEA.
Develops test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes results.
Defines and documents certification/test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.
