Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas seeks a Principal Stress Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will perform static analyses for metallic and non-metallic aircraft structures, partnering with design and fatigue groups to deliver high-strength, lightweight solutions and certify airframe components.

The role requires a BS in Engineering with aero/structural focus and roughly 13 years of static stress experience on airframe structures.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with emphasis on structural design and analysis.
• 13 years of static stress analysis experience on airframe structures.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles and technical documentation.
• Authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Perform static analyses for metallic and non-metallic airframe parts.
• Collaborate with design and fatigue teams to deliver high strength-to-weight structures.
• Document analyses for trade studies or sign-off drawings.
• Support cross-functional departments to solve complex technical problems.
