Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Senior/Principal Stress Engineer in Savannah, GA to lead advanced aircraft structural engineering programs. You will guide development and production, applying deep expertise to meet safety, performance, and reliability standards.

You will balance technical performance with cost and schedule while mentoring engineers and influencing cross-functional teams to resolve complex structural challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years in a technical engineering discipline or 15+ years across multiple disciplines.
• Extensive experience solving complex engineering problems.
• Strong technical judgment and analytical problem-solving.
• Ability to independently determine engineering approaches and criteria.
• Experience providing technical direction as an authority.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support major engineering programs with complex structural challenges.
• Select engineering methods and evaluation criteria for stress issues.
• Perform or oversee advanced structural analyses and evaluations.
• Serve as a technical authority guiding engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Anticipate structural issues and develop innovative solutions.
• Establish standards and technical guidance across activities.
• Balance performance, cost, and schedule in technical recommendations.
• Provide technical leadership throughout aircraft development and production.
