Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial in Savannah, GA is seeking an experienced Stress Engineer to drive the execution of major aerospace programs and tackle highly complex structural and analytical challenges from concept through production.

You will lead technical decisions, perform static and fatigue analyses of airframe structures, utilize CATIA V5, and collaborate across teams to advance next‑generation aircraft design while balancing performance, cost and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in a specific technical discipline or 15+ years across multiple disciplines.
• Strong background in classical stress analysis and structural evaluation.
• Experience performing static and fatigue analysis of airframe structures (metallic and/or composite).
• Proficiency with CATIA V5 and reviewing engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead resolution of complex engineering issues using advanced methods and criteria.
• Serve as a technical authority across teams.
• Anticipate challenges and develop innovative solutions.
• Balance performance, cost and schedule in problem-solving.
• Define technical objectives and make high-impact decisions with minimal supervision.
• Develop standards, processes and best practices for engineering activities.
• Conduct static and fatigue analysis of metallic and composite airframe structures.
• Support design and stress analysis using CATIA V5 and review drawings.
• Contribute to aircraft modifications, repairs, and certification efforts (STC, MRB, Service).
• Stay current with industry advancements and recommend innovations to improve product quality.
