Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in a technical engineering discipline OR 15+ years across multiple disciplines.
• Extensive experience solving complex engineering problems.
• Strong technical judgment and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to independently determine appropriate engineering approaches.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical direction and make authoritative decisions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support major engineering programs with complex structural challenges.
• Select engineering methods, analytical techniques, and evaluation criteria for stress issues.
• Perform and oversee advanced structural analyses and evaluations.
• Serve as a technical authority guiding engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Anticipate structural issues and develop creative solutions balancing performance and cost.
• Establish engineering standards and technical guidance for diverse activities.
• Make authoritative recommendations balancing performance, cost, and schedule.
• Work independently with limited direction toward long-term program goals.
• Provide technical leadership throughout aircraft development and production.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to resolve complex issues.
• Stay current on advances in stress analysis, structures, materials and related technologies.
• Identify opportunities for innovations to improve quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
