Qualifications

  • Static and fatigue analysis of airframe structures (metallic).
  • Strong background in classical stress analysis.
  • Experience with Catia V5 for stress analysis and drawing release.
  • Review of 2D drawings.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Experience with aircraft mods/repairs (STC/MRB/Service) preferred.
  • Static analysis of composite structures; familiarity with GAC methods.
  • Composite testing and certification knowledge.
  • Patran/Nastran experience preferred.
  • Collaborative engineering approach is valued.

Responsibilities

  • Selects methods and criteria to resolve complex engineering issues.
  • Serves as an authority; consulted by associates.
  • Anticipates and resolves complex issues, developing standards.
  • Balances technical objectives with cost and schedule.
  • Works with minimal direction; long-range results are reviewed.
  • Makes authoritative technical decisions and recommendations.
  • Keeps current with field developments to propose improvements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
