Job summary

The City of Menifee is seeking a Senior Street Maintenance Worker to lead crews in street, sidewalk, drainage, and lighting maintenance. You will supervise staff, plan assignments, and ensure safety in all field operations throughout the City’s public works projects.

The role requires a high school diploma with four years of related public works experience, a Class A CDL with tank endorsement, and CPR/First Aid certification within a year.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to graduation from high school and four years of responsible experience in public works or construction maintenance.
• Possession of a valid Class A California Driver’s License with tank endorsement and no manual transmission or air brakes restrictions.
• CPR and First Aid certification within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Leads, reviews, assigns, and performs work of staff in public works including streets, sidewalks, and drainage.
• Develops crew assignments; inspects methods and performance; supports employee evaluations.
• Performs field observations to ensure compliance and prepares reports for supervision.
• Trains, supervises, and evaluates equipment operation and safety.
• Directs and performs paving, demolition, and material handling tasks; cleans work sites on completion.
• Operates trucks and motorized equipment; inspects and reports maintenance needs.
• Drives to sites, sets up barricades, and directs traffic to protect crews.
• Maintains lighting, signage, and graffiti removal; assists in fabrication of traffic signs.
