Job summary

FloridaCommerce, housed within the Florida Department of Commerce, seeks a Senior Management Analyst II in Tallahassee to partner with leadership across the Division of Workforce Services on strategic initiatives.

The role uses analytical skills and independent judgment to plan, research, and consult, helping develop division policies, long-range business plans, and coordinated communications across programs and external partners.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic management principles and practices.
• Knowledge of statistical and data analytical techniques and methods.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to organize data into logistical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials.
• Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to utilize problem solving techniques.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with leadership within the Division of Workforce Services on strategic initiatives.
• Perform complex planning, research, and consultative work using analytical skills and independent judgment.
• Assist leadership in developing division policies, procedures, long range strategic and business plans.
• Review and improve division policies, procedures, and plans.
• Oversee critical objectives and communicate division initiatives across programs and organizations.
• Provide leadership for priority issues requiring policy and program integration.
• Lead long-range strategic planning to support organizational effectiveness and agility.
