Job summary

Viral Nation is seeking an Associate Director, Strategy to independently run senior-level strategy across client growth and delivery. You will transform culture, data, and business challenges into strategy with a strong day-to-day partnership and a focus on platforms, subcultures, creator behavior, and emerging signals.

You will own the quality and delivery of major projects, mentor junior teammates, and drive innovation in frameworks and ways of working to meet client and business goals.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of agency or in-house strategy experience.
• Proven track record leading senior-level strategy for Fortune 500 and enterprise brands.
• Experience developing integrated, social-first strategies that drive growth.
• Strong track record leading RFPs, proposals, pitches, and client expansion.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior talent and manage direct reports.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead senior-level strategy work end-to-end for client and growth opportunities.
• Turn qualitative and quantitative insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Define KPIs, measurement frameworks, and success metrics for strategic recommendations.
• Partner with Sales, Client Service, BI, and senior leadership to articulate competitive advantages.
• Mentor junior strategists and support the development of strategic upleveling across the department.
